Kill la Kill is set in Honnji Academy, a made-up high school in Tokyo Bay. It is where Satsuki Kiryin leads a fearsome student council that rules the school. The Goku Uniforms worn by the council members give them superhuman abilities.
They utilize these abilities to oppress the other students and staff members of the school. Ryko Matoi, a student brandishing half of a longsword in the shape of a scissor, moves to Honnji Academy. She does this in an effort to find the person who killed her father and is in possession of the other half of the scissor blade.
After Satsuki was questioned by the council regarding the killer’s identity and location, the council was defeated. Ryko then finds a sentient sailor outfit she names Senketsu, who wears himself on Ryko. Using Senketsu’s special abilities, Ryūko stands up against Satsuki and her henchmen, the Elite Four, to liberate Honnōji Academy from their iron grip and find out the truth behind her father’s murder.
#13 The Seven Deadly Sins
The Seven Deadly Sins are a band of warriors who were falsely accused of a crime and set out on a mission to prove their innocence. The story is very fun to follow and is one of our favorite anime recommendations.

#11 Fighting Spirit: Rising
Next, on our list of anime recommendations is this masterpiece. Following the events of the first series (Fighting Spirit) released in 2000, Fighting Spirit: Rising was released in 2013. This story follows Makunouchi Ippo, the reigning Japanese Featherweight Champion, who successfully defended his championship by employing his devastating signature move, the Dempsey Roll.

Aoki Masaru, a fellow member of Kamogawa Gym, is on the verge of winning his own belt and is prepared to face the Japanese Lightweight Champion.
#10 Gintama
The story takes place in a late-Edo era alternate history when “Amanto” aliens are attacking humans. Samurai from Edo, Japan, fight to protect Earth, but the shogun shamefully surrenders after realizing the aliens’ might.
He consents to an unfair agreement with the invaders, prohibiting the use of swords in public and allowing the invaders to enter the nation. The swords of the samurai are taken away.
The protagonist of the show is Gintoki Sakata, an eccentric samurai who works as a freelancer for odd assignments. He assists Shinpachi Shimura, a young man, in defending his sister Tae from aliens who intend to send her to a brothel.
Shinpachi, who is taken with Gintoki, agrees to work as the samurai’s independent apprentice in order to help him pay the bills and learn more about him. When the couple rescues a teenage alien girl with super-strength, Kagura, from a Yakuza group, they accept her into their freelancing business and the three become known as “Yorozuya”.
#9 Berserk
Released in 2016, the plot centers on Guts, who makes a brief appearance as the “Black Swordsman” in both the end scene of the Golden Age Arc movies and the first episode of the 1997 television series. One of our great Anime recommendations to end your year.
Before Griffith, the mutilated leader of the Band of the Hawk, sacrificed his people to join the God Hand and carry out his ambition of creating his own kingdom, Guts was a roaming mercenary who was taken in by the band.
Only Guts and Casca, who suffered mental and memory loss as a result of the horrors they saw and faced, managed to escape the “Eclipse” ceremony. They were, however, marked with symbols that drew malevolent spirits, restless ghosts, and other-like beings.

In order to elevate Seirin to the top of Japan, Kuroko Tetsuya, the sixth member of the “Generation of Miracles,” and Kagami Taiga, a naturally gifted player who spent much of middle school in the US, are competing against Kuroko’s old teammates one by one.
#7 Highschool of the Dead

A group of high school kids and the school nurse are portrayed as they cope with the global cataclysmic event known as the “Outbreak.” The cast must contend with the added dangers of social breakdown. Including dangerous survivors and the potential erosion of their own moral standards, as they attempt to escape the zombie apocalypse.

Kaneki learns that he underwent surgery that caused him to become a half-ghoul after he has recovered. This was made possible by the transplantation of some of Rize’s organs into his body; as a result, he now needs to eat human flesh to survive, much like other ghouls do.
He is adopted by ghouls who manage the “Anteiku” coffee shop and is given advice on adjusting to his new existence as a half-ghoul. His everyday problems include assimilating into ghoul society. Scoring an impressive 8.2/10 score on IMDb, This is one of the must-watch anime recommendations. The series takes place in the near future when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person’s state of mind and personality.

#2 Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal
This anime recommendation is a relatively older one but delivers a quality story. Kenshin (also known as “Hitokiri Battousai (The Man Slasher)”) is an assassin with a troubled history who serves the underworld pathetically.
He discovers hope for a peaceful life when he involves the sadly attractive bystander Tomoe in his activities. The lives and love of Kenshin and Tomoe are in danger, so not everything is as it seems.

Yor is an expert assassin, and Anya can read minds, both of which he is unaware of. The second season just recently debuted and will surely be as good as the first.
