Yoruichi Shihōin Cosplay

Yoruichi Shihōin is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Bleach. She is the former captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13, and the former commander of the Onmitsukidō. She also has a cat-like form which she can use for long periods of time.
Yoruichi has been described as having an “unnatural beauty”, with long silver hair that flows down to her waist, amber eyes with slit pupils (which resemble those found on cats), feline ears on top of her head, sharp teeth and nails that appear more like claws than normal human nails would look like if they were extended outwards from one’s fingertips. Her skin tone is fair enough that it doesn’t appear pale but instead seems healthy enough so as not to appear sickly either; this makes sense considering how much time she spends outdoors exercising regularly despite being over 500 years old!

Personality

Yoruichi is a very sharp, intelligent woman who is knowledgeable about Soul Society and its workings. She is also witty, often making jokes at her own expense or at the expense of others. While she acts differently from other nobles, she still retains their haughty attitude toward those beneath them in rank.

History

Yoruichi Shihōin was formerly the captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13 and the former commander of the Onmitsukidō. She abandoned her positions as captain and commander, however, in order to live as a human with Kisuke Urahara and Tessai Tsukabishi at their shop in Karakura Town.
Yoruichi’s past is largely unknown except for what she has revealed herself through flashbacks or otherwise stated directly by herself during conversations with others. She first appears alongside Urahara when they meet Ichigo Kurosaki after he saves Rukia Kuchiki from Aizen’s Espada Yammy Llargo during their invasion of Soul Society

Appearance

Yoruichi is a woman with black hair that reaches her lower back and light brown eyes. She wears a sleeveless kimono with black and white stripes, as well as a belt.

Abilities

Yoruichi Shihōin is a master of hand-to-hand combat and can use Shunkō, a technique that allows her to move at incredible speeds. She also possesses the ability to transform into a black cat for long periods of time, which is how she got the nickname “The Cat That Rules Over All Cats”. Yoruichi has been shown using Kidō spells such as Hadō #31 Shakkahō (Quake Blast), Bakudō #4 Hainawa (Crawling Rope) and Bakudō #9 Geki (Strike/Stab).

Relationships

Yoruichi is a close friend of Kisuke Urahara. She often acts as an advisor and confidant for him, though she also teases him on occasion. Yoruichi has trained Soifon in hand-to-hand combat since she was young, and they share a sisterly bond. Tessai Tsukabishi has been Yoruichi’s assistant ever since he joined the Shinigami Research Institute; he is very loyal to her, willing to do anything she asks without question. Jūshirō Ukitake also respects and admires Yoruichi greatly; when Rukia Kuchiki came under suspicion for murder after being framed by Aizen Sosuke (who had been impersonating Kaien Shiba), Ukitake defended her innocence despite knowing that doing so would put him at odds with Soul Society’s laws.
Yoruichi was once romantically involved with Urahara, but their relationship ended when he left Soul Society with Tessai and Kon (now known as Ichigo Kurosaki). While it seems unlikely that there are any hard feelings between them now, they do not interact much outside work matters.

Story Arc Involvement

Yoruichi is a major character in the Soul Society Arc, Arrancar Arc and the Fullbring Arc, she also appears in the Fake Karakura Town Arc, The Thousand Year Blood War Arc and the Lost Substitute Shinigami Arc.

Trivia

Yoruichi Shihōin is the former leader of the Onmitsukidō and is currently the headmaster of the Shinigami Women’s Academy. Her name means “night ruler”, which reflects her status as an expert in covert operations and infiltration. She is also one of only two known people who can transform into a black cat (the other being Urahara).
Yoruichi has appeared in several Bleach video games, including Bleach: Heat the Soul 4, 5 and 6 where she plays an antagonist role; Bleach: Heat The Soul 7 where she serves as an ally; Bleach: Versus Crusade where she appears as both an ally and boss character; Bleach: Dark Souls

Yoruichi is an important character in both the Soul Society Arc and Hueco Mundo Arcs, but she also has some great moments outside of those arcs as well. She’s one of my favorites because she has so many cool powers that no other characters have (like being able to turn into an animal), but also because she’s just so funny!
