The Biggest Anime Convention: Japan Expo 2023

Japan Expo is just another anime convention like Otakon and Anime Weekend Atlanta. It is well-known among those interested in Japanese culture around the world, is a huge French convention with a focus on not only anime but also Japanese pop culture in general. Its first event took place in 2000. It is hosted each year in July at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, France’s second largest convention center. Every year, the number of visitors exceeds 200,000. After being canceled in 2020 and 2021 owing to the spread of COVID-19, Japan Expo will return to Paris in 2022.

Japan Expo showcases all aspects of Japanese culture, from traditional to modern, and welcomes the public to meet a variety of visitors, attend a variety of events, and participate in a variety of activities, games, and seminars. The next edition is at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center on July 13-16, 2023

Over 100 exposition booths sell exclusive things relating to anime, comics, video games, and so on. Some guests attend this massive gathering to watch the latest anime debuts. Others join in on the exciting live performances by popular Japanese performers. Other activities include free new gameplay, costume stages, and traditional Japanese cultures such as Sumo and Maiko.
