 Rent a Girlfriend is a Japanese manga series which has been running since July 2017. The author is Reiji Miyajima. He is also the illustrator of the manga. We are delighted to announce to you that Rent-a-girlfriend live-action drama adaptation. The Kanojo Okarishimasu live-action will premiere this July on TV Asahi. What is Rent-a-Girlfriend Manga About?

Rent a girlfriend follows the story of a young man named Kazuya Kinoshita who got dumped by his girlfriend after dating him for a month. He feels bad about it and decides to download an online dating app “Diamond”  where he could find a temporary girlfriend.

He rents a beautiful girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara and gives her a low rating on the app after their first meeting. When they meet again she is pissed at him. He keeps renting her in order to keep his face in front of his family because they met her when his grandmother collapsed.

And the relationship becomes complicated. It’s possible to rent a girlfriend but can you actually buy love?

How Many chapters does Kanojo, Okarishimasu have?

Since the beginning of Kanojo Okarishimasu in July 2017 up to May 2022, the author has released about 234 chapters. The last chapter was released about two weeks ago and the next will be released on the 16th of May. So by that time, Kanojo, Okarishimasu will be at 235 chapters in total.

How Many Volumes are there in Rent-a-Girlfriend?

All the released chapters of Rent a Girlfriend have been put together in 25 volumes so far. Though we are waiting for more of this amazing piece. Kanojo, Okarishimasu volume one came out on October 17, 2017, and its English version came out on June 2, 2020, licensed in North America by Kodansha USA.

When will Rent-a-girlfriend get a Live-Action Drama?

Kanojo, Okarishimasu gets a live-action drama adaptation which will be premiering this July 2022. The director of the drama is Daisuke Yamamoto known for his work in Ossan’s Love franchise and the scriptwriter is Kumiko Aso(Marumo no Okite). So we will be expecting something really exciting :).

The main cast members for Kanojo Okarishimasu live-action are Ryūsei Ōnishi Naniwa Danshi idol and Hiyori Sakurada. Ryūsei Ōnishi plays the role of Kazuya Kinoshita while Hiyori Sakurada plays the role of Chizuru Mizuhara.

The anime-inspired the television anime series of the same name. Rent a Girlfriend has an anime adaptation of 1 season with 12 episodes. The author announced a release of a second season In the summer of 2022.

The first season of the anime was first aired on July 10 2020. It ran through from July to September with 12 episodes being aired. It was first aired in Japan on Super Animism. The director of the anime is Kazuomi Kogaoto and the scriptwriter is Mitsutaka Hirota.

How Many Seasons Does Kanojo, Okarishimasu Have?

So far, there is just one released season of Kanojo, Okarishimasu. It was directed by Kazuomi Kogaoto and aired on the 10th of July 2020. We are still waiting for the second season release date as announced earlier this year. 

Where Can You Watch Kanojo, Okarishimasu?
