Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow – August 21, 2004
It is the very first movie in the Naruto series. Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow shows Konoha Village Team 7 consisting of Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura on a mission.
They aim to protect an actress named Yukie, the princess of the Land of Snow, from a planned kidnapping. This movie connects to episodes 101-106 of the Naruto anime.

Legend of the Stone of Gelel – August 6, 2005
The second Naruto movie follows Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru, responsible for returning a lost animal to a village. The time period when this took place is after Sasuke’s departure, this explains why Shikamaru helps Team 7 with this special mission. As they accomplish their mission, Naruto and his friends are attacked by strange robotic warriors and a knight called Temujin. In the violent battle, the three become separated.
Temujin challenges Naruto to a fight and Shikamaru on his side discovers a gigantic fortress that he infiltrates and witnesses a frightening vision. The film takes place after episode 106 of Naruto.
Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom – August 5, 2006
Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Rock Lee have the task to escort Prince Michiru and his son Hikaru around the world and bringing them back to the Land of the Moon, a B-ranked mission.
When the group returns to their kingdom, they find it’s been taken over by Shabadaba, a former adviser of Michiru’s father, who hired ninja mercenaries. The ninjas are forced to help the prince fight Shabadaba to regain his throne.
The Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom is the last movie in the original series timeline and is one of the best Naruto movies.

Naruto Shippuden The Movie – August 4, 2007
We move forward on our best Naruto movies list with the introduction of the first Naruto Shippuden film. The film starts very strongly because from the beginning we are confronted with a piece of frightening news; Naruto loses his life following a fight against a monster. The scenes of the film nevertheless return to the past, just a few days before.
The movie introduces a new villain named Yomi who attacks a shrine to release the spirit of a demon called Moryo. Moryo has a plan to eliminate Princess Shion who prevents him from going after his machiavellian plans.
Naruto and his friends are sent to save Shion and take her safely to a shrine. This movie is connected to Naruto Shippuden after episode 53.

Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Bonds

The Land of Sky attacked Konoha Village as an act of revenge for the time Konoha attacked them during the Second Great Ninja War. The village tries to find a way to stop the Land of the Sky from carrying out their assault plans.
Shortly after the attack, Naruto meets Dr. Shino, a ninja doctor and his disciple Amaru. Naruto, Sakura and Hinata have to drive Amaru back to his village.
Once there, Amaru discovers that his village has been attacked. Invaded by hatred, Amaru transforms into Reibi, the Zero-Tailed monster, forcing Naruto to transform in turn in order to be able to fight him.
Naruto discovers that Dr. Shino is the ruler of the Land of Sky, and he used Amaru to increase his power and his hatred by seizing Reibi’s chakra. Naruto saves Amaru and uses his chakra powers to kill Dr. Shino. This movie is connected to Naruto: Shippuden after episode 111.

Naruto Shippuden The Movie: The Will of Fire – August 1, 2009
Among the five major ninja villages, four of them, Kumo, Iwa, Kiri, and Suna see their ninjas endowed with Kekkei Genkai gradually disappear. Strangely, Konoha is spared. The other four villages, therefore, hold them responsible and even plan to attack them.
The real culprit is none other than Hiruko, a former ninja from the village of Konoha who deserted when he was discovered conducting forbidden experiments in an effort to develop a technique called Chimera. This technique should allow him to absorb the chakra of other ninjas.
Hiruko then tries to grab Kakashi’s Kekkei Genkai and manages to put him under the influence of a cursed seal to force him to come towards him and grab the Sharingan.
Naruto and his friends are sent to attack Hiruko and prevent him from absorbing their powers. This movie connects to Naruto: Shippuden after episode 89.

Naruto Shippuden The Movie: The Lost Tower – July 31st, 2010
Naruto and Yamato are embarked on a journey through time, 20 years in the past. Their mission is to capture Mukade, a ninja deserter. Mukade’s goal is revealed to be an underground unlimited store of chakra, lost amid the ruins of Roran and once sealed by the 4th Hokage.
He absorbs the seal and releases the power of it, causing a light that envelops Naruto and sends him to the past.
In the past, Naruto meets Sara, queen of Loran who reveals to him that Mukade killed her mother. Mukade threatens to kill the citizens of Loran by summoning the Puppet Ninja Forces but Naruto defeats him and returns to the present. The movie links to episodes 152-154 from Naruto Shippuden.

Naruto The Movie: Blood Prison – July 30, 2011
Naruto is imprisoned in Hozukijo, a prison for criminal ninjas because he is wrongly accused of trying to kill the Raikage. The prison warden, Mui, uses a technique that helps prevent any chakra kneading, in which case the user’s body will burn and consume itself.
One of the prisoners named Ryuzetsu teaches Naruto that in reality he is the victim of a set-up and trapped by a certain Kazan who had taken his appearance to then accuse him.

Road to Ninja: Naruto The Movie – December 06, 2014
Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie is the first film with the story created by the original series creator, Masashi Kishimoto. The movie follows Naruto and Sakura in a Genjutsu reality made by Tobi. They learn what life would be like if they received what they wanted: Sakura’s parents dead and Naruto’s parents alive.
The two ninjas will then do everything to return to their “real” world and when they get there, Tobi attacks the village and kidnaps Sakura. Naruto takes the Red Moon Scroll with him to combat Tobi so as to save Sakura.
The movie contains great action sequences, new takes on the characters, and some big emotional kicks, putting it at the top of the best Naruto movies. This movie is connected to the events after episode 251 in Naruto: Shippuden.
The Last: Naruto The Movie – December 06, 2014
Naruto the Last is the seventh and last film from the Naruto Shippuden anime. In the village of Konoha, two years after the 4th great ninja war, Naruto is about to celebrate the winter festival surrounded by Hinata and his friends.
Suddenly, a meteorite rips through the night and the Moon created by Otsutsuki is getting abnormally close to the Earth. The Council of Kage meets urgently in the face of this threat of destruction of the planet.
Toneri infiltrates the Hidden Leaf to abduct Hinata, but Naruto’s intervention forces him to instead kidnap her younger sister Hanabi in order to take her Byakugan eyes. Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Saï and Shikamaru are assigned by Kakashi to rescue Hanabi.
The Last also finally sets up Naruto and Hinata’s romance making the movie particular for the fans who have been waiting to see them united. The movie is connected to the events after episode 500 of Naruto Shippuden.

How Many Movies Does Naruto Have?
Naruto the manga, made its debut on September 21, 1999, and it concluded on November 10, 2014. The manga was adapted into an anime television series that broadcast a total of 220 episodes in Japan from 2002 to 2007.
Naruto Shippuden, a sequel to the original series, premiered in Japan in 2007 and ended in 2017. The anime series was so popular that it also had 11 films. 10 of them are connected to the Naruto series itself and the last one Boruto: Naruto the movie, is connected to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
