2. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

This is a story of love and vengeance, in which Tanjiro’s family was slain and the lone survivor of the attack was his sister Nezuko who is turning into a demon slowly. This unfortunate event will cause the gentle Tanjiro to become a Demon Slayer and embark on the perilous journey of vengeance.

Slaying Demons while his sister is gradually becoming one? It is ironic. You’ve got to watch Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and it is one of the most famous anime on Netflix.

3. Violet Evergarden.

This is a 13-episode anime series available in English and Japanese with English subtitles. The main character is a young girl called Violet Evergarden who was weaponized and used as a killing machine by the military war, in which she lost both arms and had them replaced with metal.

She is used to war and now faces difficulties reading emotions and associating socially. However, will Violet Evergarden be able to integrate the society, given her emotionless state?

4. FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: Brotherhood

Alphonse Elric and his brother Edward were abandoned by their father, a well-renowned alchemist. Being brought up by their mother who later passed on they developed an interest in alchemy. In the attempt to resurrect their mother, they lost parts of their body and approached death.

In the attempt to regain their body parts, they learned of the existence of a stone called Philosopher’s Stone that can help them. Will they succeed?

5. One-Punch Man

Saitama is the most powerful superhero in the world, who can defeat his adversary with a single blow but becomes very bored as hasn’t met any challenge yet.

He decides to join the Association of Superheroes but the unfortunate happens as he is classified among the low-ranking fighters due to his poor performance in the written test. Considering his position in the Superhero Association will he ever meet a worthy opponent? 

This one of the Netflix anime shows is full of funny as well as badass moments.

6. Beastars

In a civilized world of anthropomorphic animals, carnivores and herbivores coexist. Despite the coexistence, there is tension between the herbivores and the carnivores.

Last night at Cherrton Academy, Tem, a herbivore and an alpaca in the High school’s drama club, was brutally killed and eaten. After the predation, Legoshi, a giant carnivore though gentle, is suspected of last night’s attack.

 Parallel to the event, Legoshi has a fateful encounter with Haru, a dwarf rabbit who starts developing strange feelings for her. What are these feelings? 7. Angel Beats

Angel Beats is an anime show that depicts the story of a boy called Onatashi Yuzuru who wakes up in the afterlife with no memory of his life before death and can only remember his name.

He meets Yuri, a gun-loving girl who invites him to join the Afterlife Battlefront called the Shinda Sekai Sensen which fights against a girl called Angel.

Onatashi convinced that Angel is not a bad person, attempts a pacific approach which unfortunately fails.

Onatashi then accepts the invitation to join the Shinda Sekai Sensen and struggles to regain his memory. 

8. The Great Pretender 

Makoto Edamura and his longtime partner Kudo are the greatest Japanese swindlers (con men). These two gentlemen with great aspirations decided to con Laurent Thiery, a Frenchman.

Unfortunately for Makoto and Kudo, they got tricked by Laurent. This Frenchman whom they tried to swindle is an international swindler and head of mafias.

Life becomes easy for Makoto as he starts working for Laurent, but will Makoto be able to manage the risks of the world of the Mafia?

9. Kuroko’s Basketball

Known as the ‘Generation of Miracles’ – five basketball prodigies who helped lead Teiko Middle School’s basketball team to glory, defeating anyone who got in their way. After graduating from middle school, the five-star players went to different high schools with top basketball teams.

But a rumor has it that there was a sixth player, a phantom player who the five prodigies respected greatly. That boy is Tetsuya Kuroko, a freshman at Seirin High and the newest member of the basketball club.

Alongside strong teammates such as Taiga Kagami, Kuroko will use his unique skills on the court to help the team defeat old rivals and make their way to the championships. What becomes of this dream?

In a discussion, I overheard a friend say that he grew interested in real-life basketball after he started watching Kuroko’s Basketball. Hilarious right?

10. The Seven Deadly Sins

 Lastly, we have The Seven Deadly Sins a legendary group of Holy Knights, who supposedly tried to overthrow the Lionnes’s Kingdom ten years ago and became wanted criminals who are still being hunted down to this day.

The present Holy Knights staged a coup and took over the Kingdom of Lionnes and imprisoned the Royal Family except for Princess Elizabeth who escaped.

Elizabeth goes on a quest for The Seven Deadly Sins not knowing whether or not the Sins are alive. She desperately needs the Sins to save her family and the Kingdom of Lionnes.

The top anime shows listed above cover all the genres of the anime world from fantasy to Drama, romance, adventure and so on. Personally, I enjoyed watching the One-Punch Man, it is very funny.

As for HunterXHunter I rather love the adventurousness and passion of most of the Characters. The 8 others are also wonderful anime and I will recommend them to anyone.
