Kimi No Na Wa also known as Your Name is one of my favourite anime movies that I will recommend you to watch. It is a Japanese animated romantic fantasy film produced by CoMix Wave Films and released by Toho.
Have you ever woken up in the body of another person or vice versa? Sorry, I will add some spoilers so if you haven’t seen the movie yet make sure to skip the next sentence. Your name depicts a high school boy in Tokyo and a high school girl in the Japanese countryside who suddenly and inexplicably begin to swap bodies.
Today I am so excited because we will visit some iconic scenes in real life that appear in the anime movie.
Before that, I forgot to mention that Kimi no Na Wa is the highest-grossing anime movie in the world by the time of writing this article. So it may change in future
Regardless of the types of anime movies you usually watch, Try watching Your Name. It’s really worth it. I will suggest some places where you can watch it at the end of this article. Now let’s get into a small portion of the world of your name.
NB: I also recommend this visit to Yotsuya, Tokyo even though you haven’t watched Kimi no na wa. You will get to discover many attractive places there.
Yotsuya Station: Taki has a date with Miki
This is the meeting point for Taki and Miki’s date.
If you take a look closer, near the Yotsuya station is the church of St. Ignatius. It’s a catholic church in Tokyo and usually, mass in English and Spanish is held every Sunday at 10 am and 1:30 pm respectively.
Taki’s apartment in Kimi no na wa
Next is Taki’s apartment which is just 9 minutes away from Yotsuya station when walking. If you have seen the movie, the view from the apartment appears many times.
Equally, if you want to live in the apartment, the rent is 130,000 yen per month. Really huge for a poor citizen like me. However, others can afford that if you are interested here is the address. These are some images below
Red stairs where Mitsuha and Taki meet in Kimi no na wa in Real life
The famous stairs where Taki and Mitsuha ran into each other. It’s just approximately 8 minutes away from Taki’s apartment on foot.
These are some pictures that compare the real life location with the anime. Take your time and watch carefully. They are really identical.
Oh and here is the address in case you would like to visit. But I do recommend you visit and experience the anime in real life.
Don’t forget to enjoy your tour detail while taking some unique shots. Now for those who want to watch or rewatch the movie Kimi no na wa just continue reading.
